Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian’s permission. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

To access most features you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and any activity under your account.
• Providing accurate registration information and keeping it up to date.
• Notifying us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account. You may close your account at any time from your profile settings.

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users’ accounts, or our systems and networks.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service except as permitted by law.
• Upload or submit content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious, or that contains malware.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including its in-browser SQL sandbox.
• Use the Service to build a competing product or to resell access without our written permission.

The Service lets you write and run SQL queries and save progress, notes, and profile details (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant QueryScratch a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and process your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to submit it.

The Service, including its questions, datasets, design, software, and trademarks, is owned by QueryScratch or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted to you, no rights are transferred. You may use the practice questions and materials for your personal, non-commercial learning only.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also impose limits on certain features. While we strive for high availability, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or that the content is accurate or complete.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUERYSCRATCH AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, through the Service. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your principal place of residence to the extent required by mandatory consumer-protection law, and otherwise by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located there.
